Tattershall Farm Park Trip

One Friday morning, Scampton and Cranwell got ready to get on the minibus and begin their journey to Tattershall Farm Park.

We all arrived and went to visit some of the animals and a lovely elf told us facts about them. There were lots of animals - we got to see a huge rabbit called Marley, a Chilean Rose Tarantula named Charlotte and a really long Corn Snake. Some of the children were brave and even held some of them!

After this we began our Candy Cane Trail, we had to look out for all of the candy canes around the Farm Park. They helped us to spell out a secret code. While we were looking for the clues we saw lots of different animals around the park. There were so many to see; reindeers and emus, turkeys and meerkats, cats and owls. These weren't even all of them!

Next, we all made our way to visit a very special visitor! Santa Claus and Mrs Claus were waiting for us with a lit fire and a lot of presents! They had even written special letters for each of the children - these were really special and we loved to read them.

Before lunch, we got to play on a huge play park with a hay floor and a giant sand pit. They were really fun and we all played together until our lunch was ready - we were really hungry!

At lunchtime, we had a big feast! We had sandwiches, crisps, carrot and cucumber sticks, fairy cakes and even a Christmas cracker. Then we got to decorate our own Christmas cookies with a variety of toppings and open our presents from Santa.

Finally we went to play in their huge soft play area! It had a bouncy castle, slides, target practice, ride-on tractors and lots of other fun activities. We were all very tired after this and came back to school just in time for the end of the day. We had a really fun day and are looking forward to our next trips out!
